Clarissa Nassar has been “blogging” {Xanga? MySpace, anyone?} since 1999 when she started her own company. Her desire to create a business for herself was something she felt was the answer to her lifelong yearning to do something BIG. Although her career started off slowly, in 2006 with the birth of her 2nd child things started to take shape into what is now known as The Posh Parent & Company. Clarissa’s career took another huge leap in 2008 when she uprooted from Southern California to upstate New York with her husband and children. Being a stay at home mom allowed Clarissa time to develop her company into something even greater. She began gaining attention as her handmade blankets were being gifted to celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Tori Spelling, Nicole Richie and Gwen Stefanie to name a few. She decided to blog her journey and little did she know, this blog opened up new and even more wonderful doors to her calling.
The road has been rough, lots of blood, sweat and tears as is the story with most parent owned small businesses. Going from sewing blankets to where she is now has been a long journey! All of it has been shared openly and honestly here on The Posh Parent. Difficult losses, changes and even failed attempts at business ventures… it’s what makes Clarissa who she is today!
Clarissa Nassar is a well known blogger and has contributed to several online sites such as MomDot, Due Maternity, Womb to Bloom, Boutique Flair, Aspiring Couture and more. She has started Coaching other moms in what she has dubbed “Mommy Mojo Coaching”, she offers inner and outer beauty consulting and Life Coaching to moms who feel they have lost their oomph. Currently a bible college student, Clarissa plans to use her coaching as a step into Counseling young men and women in a few years when her youngest is off to school. Not able to give up any reason to sew a good tutu or pettiskirt {ahh, the good ole days!}, she also runs a mobile dance company called Bee Creative Dance.
Her extensive experience in sales & marketing plus her natural poise and effervescent personality have made her a triple threat in the blogosphere. She has worked with top companies and brands for the past 4 years.
