I’m 1/2 Way There! Invisalign Update!
A smile goes a long way, it can be contagious, too. I often found myself not smiling like I’d like to because of my lack of confidence in the way my teeth looked. Now, being half way through my treatment I can proudly and comfortably smile, and even more so once the treatment is all done!
Here is where I started {sorry for the gums and all, this is how they took the picture at my orthodontists office.
Huge gap, crossed over front tooth and lower canines way out of place…
Here is the improvement so far:
It’s a huge, huge improvement in not only my teeth, but in my confidence, motivation and self-esteem. Having straighter teeth makes me want to take care of my entire mouth and make sure I brush and floss and use mouthwash, etc. I also notice that my bite is way better, as in when I bite down…I don’t bite my inside of my mouth anymore which was a slight issues before starting treatment.
Being in Invisalign treatment has helped me to take notice of the other parts of my life that I have put to the wayside in order to “feel like a better mom”. Being a good mom doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to stop caring about yourself and your needs, if anything you are being a better mom for it and because of it. We as mothers have to show our children by example what it means to be happy with ourselves and to exude confidence in ourselves.
I still have some time to go here, but I am so very pleased with my results and look forward to being all aligned and 100% where I should be.
Disclosure: I am a member of the Invisalign Mom Advisory Board and have received complimentary treatment in exchange for my honest feedback. Read more at Invisalign’s site.
